Jess has endured both of my deployments to Afghanistan. You might assume the first one was harder since it was longer and risky. However, this one was every bit as hard for her (if not more so) with the addition of Grant and Brynna. They are busy kids, and I know there were many days when she wondered if she was going to make it through. Not only did she make it through, she did it while maintaining every ounce of the class the grace that she is so well known for.
On behalf of the kids and I...Thank you baby!! Again, it's not much. Finding 'nice' things in Afghanistan can be challenging!
2 sets of lapis earrings, a lapis bracelet and an aquamarine gemstone...all native to Afghanistan. Also included are 3 green garnets (tsavorite), which I believe are imported from Africa.
