I ran into a fellow Winterset resident today. Eric is deployed here with the Iowa National Guard as part of an Agricultural Development Team in Kunar Province (separate from the Brigade deployment I am on). Eric's son Brady is here with the Brigade on Bagram. They were able to arrange it so they can spend Christmas together. I'm glad the reunion was able to work out for them...seems unfathomable to me to imagine spending Christmas over here with Grant?! My thoughts and prayers go out to Eric's wife/Brady's Mom 'Monica' during Christmas this year.
