On Veterans Day, I mentioned that I attended a ramp ceremony for a Soldier killed in combat the previous day. I thought it would be good to close the loop on this, as mentioning fallen warriors and then leaving them unnamed just doesn't seem right. SGT Edward H. Bolen is the Soldier that we sent off last last week. He was 25, married only a few weeks, and named after his great uncle who had been killed in action in World War II.
There have been many ramp ceremonies since SGT Bolen's last week, and all of them have a story. If this doesn't put into perspective the cost of our freedoms, I'm not sure what does.
